22nd Countryside Animafest Cyprus “Views of the World”

Countryside Animafest Cyprus, the international animation film festival of Cyprus is the first of its kind in the country. Founded in 2002, the festival contributed significantly to the appreciation of the idea of decentralising the arts and has revitalised small rural communities, creating an interest in independent animation cinema in Cyprus among a very wide audience spectrum. The festival showcases a selection of the world’s latest productions, focusing on independent, non-commercial films. It is renowned for the high quality of its programming, for its wide and enthusiastic audience and for its active presence in the cultural scene throughout the year. In the context of the festival there are international, national and children films competition sections, parallel screenings, tributes, exhibitions, masterclasses by distinguished international guests and concerts.
