Filigree Jewellery workshop

After arriving at our workshop, visitors will first be informed about the history of Cypriot jewellery with a historical review of the filigree technique from ancient times, the glorious period of its making in Lefkara village, the limited activity of Cypriot silversmiths today and the reason behind the creation of our workshop Then there will be a tour in the workshop and an explanation of the machines as well as a comparison with the ancient construction method. After the tools that each visitor will have on his counter will be explained and with

the guidance of Eleni, the construction of a complete filigree jewellery will begin. The aim of the workshop is for the visitors to leave with a piece of jewellery that they made with the traditional technique but in their own shape and idea, to enrich their knowledge about handmade jewellery but also to appreciate and learn the long history of Cypriot jewellery.
