Ayios Demetrios Festival of Tradition

The Association of Ayios Demetrios village organizes Festival of tradition in the square of the village at 23 of October 2022. Traditional pottery of red clay which is included in the national list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO will be displayed during the Festival.
Visitors will have the opportunity to observe and learn information regarding the construction of pots and etc. Traditional sweet called Palouzes and Trahanas will be prepared during the festival and visitors will have the opportunity to taste them. At the same time traditional products will be sold. It’s worth mentioning that at 11:30 there will be music and dance show from the folklore group <<Xrisospiliotissa Defteras>> and the tavern of the square will be serving food and drinks.
